You can land a helicopter on Temple Field and there is a £150 landing fee for this.  Please advise the House Events Co-ordinator of the arrival and departure times and you will be provided with the co-ordinates to be used.


Is there accommodation in the House?

Weston Park has 28 exquisite bedrooms available to wedding guests and, on this basis, our aim is to allow our guests to enjoy the House as if it were their own.

A minimum of 10 bedrooms must be booked when choosing to book accommodation and events on a Saturday must be residential. All accommodation bookings are taken and paid for by the Bridal Party in advance of the event.  Bedrooms are available for check in from 2pm and check out is due by 10.30am the following day.


Can you use our own entertainment providers?

Weston Park has a large database of entertainers that we can recommend, such as string quartets, DJs, live bands, magicians and children’s entertainers and we would be happy to assist you in making arrangements for this.

Alternatively if you choose to use external entertainers they must be pre-approved by Weston Park and a site visit must take place in advance of your event.  Entertainers are required to sign Weston Park’s production guidelines and must be able to produce proof of liability insurance on request.


Is dancing allowed in the House?

Due to the historic nature of the House, dancing is permitted in the Orangery, which is located at to the rear of the House, in the Italian Gardens or the Music Room.  Access for equipment will be via the suppliers entrance on Dairy Green at the back of the House.  It is not necessary to set up a dancefloor in the Victorian Orangery but would be required in the Music Room.  Please advise the House Events Co-ordinator if you would like a costing for this.


Are fireworks allowed?

Firework packages are available with Jack Flash Fireworks and can be booked directly with Weston Park and added to your account.  In addition to the cost of the display, a site fee of £250 is charged to include clearance of the debris the following day and also the cost of notifying residents in the surrounding villages.  All firework displays must be set off by 10.30pm.


Do you have an in-house florist?

Weston Park’s resident florist, Fine Flowers, have an excellent reputation throughout the region and their attention to detail will ensure that your flowers are everything you hope for on your special day.

All flower arrangements are quoted for on an individual basis and flowers required within the House must be provided by Weston Park’s florist.

When you have your planning meeting with us, we will arrange for you to meet the florist to discuss your exact requirements. Our florist would also be delighted to provide your personal flowers, such as your bouquet, buttonholes, corsages or cake flowers, at an additional cost.

As a standard, flowers are placed in the House, one vase in the Entrance Hall and one in the Library and Weston Park’s florist will endeavour to provide House flowers that tie in with your flowers.

Please be aware that in between Christmas and New Year and other occasions such as Valentine’s Day there may be constraints on availability and colour of certain flowers.


Do you have a cake stand and knife?

Included in the Wedding Package is the use of a cake stand, which is a single plinth 35 cm in diameter, as well as a silver cake knife.


How do we organise to deliver our Wedding Cake?

Once you have ordered your Wedding cake, please advise our House Events Co-ordinator of delivery and storage details. Please note that we may be unable to refrigerate your cake, depending on size of the cake and business taking place in the House.  The Chef will also require a list of the ingredients for any guests with dietary requirements in advance of your day.


Are candles allowed in the House?

Candles are allowed within the Dining Room, Loggia and Orangery and Weston Park can provide tea lights if required. Low candles must be set within containers for protection and candles must be designed so that wax cannot drip onto any surfaces.


Are Chinese Lanterns allowed?

Due to the livestock we have within the Park, we do not allow any Chinese lanterns.


Is confetti allowed?

Confetti, rice or petals of any type may not be used inside the House or by the front door. Biodegradable petals may be used in the Italian Gardens, although please note that the Wedding Party are responsible for its removal.


Is stationary included?

Included in the Wedding Package is the easel for your table plan. The team are happy to put your table plan and name cards out for you.


Can we arrange to visit with our photographer?

We would highly recommend visiting Weston Park with your photographer to establish suitable locations for photographs on your day.

The House, Gardens and Park are entirely at your disposal for photographs, although we cannot exclude the visiting public from any of the public areas during the Open Season.


Where do guests park?

Guests can be dropped off and collected on the Carriage Ring in front of the House. During the public open season, guests’ cars are parked on the House Car Park. Weston Park can provide signage to this area for your guests if required.

Non-residential guests may leave their cars at Weston Park overnight and collected by 10am the following day.


Coaches and Double Decker Buses
Coaches and double decker buses can gain access via Shrewsbury Gate.


Should our guests book taxis in advance of the evening?

We recommend that your guests pre-book their late taxis to avoid disappointment or a long wait at the end of the evening. The Front of House Team have phone numbers for local taxi companies should your guests require any assistance.


Can we arrange a Menu Tasting?

Our Head Chef can be available during one of the planning meetings to discuss your menu requirements.  We can arrange for this to take place in the House Kitchen fore the bride and groom at no additional charge.  Menu tastings will consist of a pre-ordered choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts, one plate of each choice to be shared.


Can we stay overnight at Weston in advance of our Wedding?

Alternatively, there are several times throughout the year where we hold Dining Occasions and we can highly recommend attending one of these, as the Dining Occasions do not only provide the ideal opportunity to sample the creations from our award-winning kitchen team, they also allow you to see the House ‘in action’ and meet the staff. Do you provide Children’s Menus?

Children under the age of 12 are charged for a children’s menu which start from  £24 per child.


Can you provide nannies and crèche facilities?

Children are welcome at Weston Park and due to the historic nature of the House, Weston Park does request that nannies are present to supervise the children during your wedding, costings of this will be discussed during the planning of your event.  Our preferred nanny agency is Tinies on 01922 682232.


Can you provide high chairs and z-beds?

Should you require high chairs, please advise us of this during your planning meeting.  Although there are no ‘family bedrooms’ at Weston Park, some of the bedrooms offer enough space for z-beds for children up to the age of 14 years. A fee for the hireage of the Z-bed, the linen and breakfast would apply.


Would we need arrange wedding insurance?

You will need to obtain insurance, which must include a public liability limit of £5 million and must cover you for accidental damage in all circumstances. Weston Park requires a copy of the insurance certificate one month in advance of the event.


Is smoking allowed in the House?

It is illegal to smoke within the House. Cigarette bins are provided by the front door and in the Italian Gardens.


Do you provide security?

There will be a security presence provided by Weston Park during the evening party.


Do you allow external contractors?

All external contractors must be pre-approved by Weston Park. You are responsible for ensuring that any contractor employed by you, complies with legal statutory requirements and the requirements of WPEL relating to the Health & Safety at Work Act and all clauses within.


Can we have coloured linen?

Weston Park provides white napkins and tablecloths within the Wedding Package.  However, coloured linen can be provided at an additional charge.



Candles are allowed within the House; however the flame must be contained within a tall holder i.e. a lantern or hurricane glass. We do also allow candelabras on the dining tables; however these must be sturdy holders and non-drip candles. We do not allow incense or oil burners inside the House.


When do we start discussing the finer details?

The House Events Co-ordinator is available at any time to answer your questions or if you require any advice.  However, all details for your wedding will be discussed in a planning meeting 3 months prior to the wedding.  We will contact you before the wedding to set a date for this with you.


Do we need to set up the room?

We will require your tableplan, name cards, favours and any other items 2 days prior to your  wedding.  We can then set everything up for you so that it is ready in time for your wedding breakfast.


Do you have accommodation?

The House at Weston has 28 bedrooms, 26 doubles and 2 singles, and we request that a minimum of 12 bedrooms are booked on the evening of your wedding and there is the opportunity to stay the night prior to your wedding also.  There are also a number of local hotels and a list can be supplied.


Disabled Facilities

There is a disabled toilet and access to the Ground Floor of the House and there is a ramp to be used for access to the Victorian Orangery.  Please let our House Events Co-ordinator know if this is required in order to be set up in advance of your wedding breakfast.
